I liked your videos but I don't think adding peas and carrots to a basic masoor dal is an authentic Indian dal at all!

Nice tips for getting rid of curry smell. It is specially a problem during winter. In France butchers leave half a bucket full of white vinegar overnight to get rid of smell. White vinegar works.

This is the first recipe of yours I've tried. It was really fantastic, even minus the fresh coriander. Thanks!

Love the variation of this simple pulao, it has a combination of all the fragrant spices, but no veggies, not even onions... ok this is a first for me. Looks good.

I find your site well presented with each recipe being categorised differently.
The pics are nice and stuff is fairly easy to make especially if you are new to cookin

And I want the goss on Shilpa Shetty’s party!

I have my mum's Magimix from the 1980s. I lug it out for grating industrial amounts of carrots, or slicing vast amounts of paper-thin cucumber.

My trusty friend remains my hand-held blender and its grinder attachment that does tiny amount of spices.

I agree - you need a counter big-enough to keep the processor at the ready, otherwise it is a bit of a production every time to haul it out.

Many thanks, Mallika, for your support. I am getting a bit of flak over our campaign to save local shops from the threat of Tesco's - all kind wishes much appreciated!

I love my Magimix. Can't live without it now. My mom-in-law bought it for me - can't remember whether it was house warming or xmas or birthday gift. It's the best gift ever to give a person. :) Yes it weighs a ton but this baby lasts very long. Mine is 7 years old now. :)
